Lady Parts Podcast

Lady Parts is a podcast exploring the roles of women in genre cinema, both in front of and behind the camera. It is one-part Aimée Lindorff, and one-part Sophie Overett, and all-parts a conversation about where women fit in the movies, in the industry, and in the audience. Combining pop culture updates, cultural commentary, and film review, these cinephiles are uncovering the good, the bad, and the feminist of genre screen storytelling.

The Oscars Project

Exploring the intersection of film, history, and the Academy Awards, The Oscars Project is a one-woman tour through the last 90 years of cinema. It’s written by self-professed cinephile Sophie Overett, who on a humid summer night in 2013 decided she was going to watch every movie ever nominated for an Oscar. With over 1,500 movies now behind her, she’s almost halfway there and only sometimes regrets starting this whole thing in the first place.
